H&S' Lopez leaving Stanford to develop jewelry business
Geneva Lopez, for the past five years the assistant dean for multicultural graduate student services with the School of Humanities and Sciences, left the university Oct. 31.
Lopez plans to develop her jewelry hobby into a business in Mountain View.
Lopez joined the Stanford community in 1990 as assistant dean
in the Graduate Studies and Research Office, which was later
decentralized. She then worked for three years as assistant
registrar before taking the assignment with the School of
Humanities and Sciences. At Stanford, Lopez was a co-chair of La
Raza Staff Association.
