Book on African history by Duignan reprinted

Peter Duignan, senior fellow emeritus at the Hoover Institution, and the late Lewis Gann are the authors of Africa and the World: An Introduction to the History of Sub-Saharan Africa from Antiquity to 1840, which recently has been reprinted as a result of renewed interest in Africa’s past and its empires and kingdoms. First printed in 1972, the work on African history before colonial rule links the African past with the history of the wider world and provides geographical and ethnographic information for the whole of Africa. It covers African lives, livelihoods, art, philosophy and religion, and is enriched by numerous maps, charts and illustrations.
