George, Long elected to American Philosophical Society

Alexander L. George, professor emeritus of political science, and and Sharon R. Long, professor of biological sciences, were elected members of the American Philosophical Society, founded by Benjamin Franklin in 1742 and the oldest learned society in the country. The organization supports research through grants, publishes scholarly books and journals, and maintains a library of material documenting the history of science and technology.
