Master of Fine Arts students exhibit works May 18 - June 9

The Department of Art and Art History will host an opening celebration of the Master of Fine Arts Exhibition from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday, May 18, in the Thomas W. Stanford Gallery, located near Hoover Tower.

The event is free and open to the public.

The gallery is open Tuesdays through Fridays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Saturdays and Sundays from 1 to 5 p.m. Admission is free.

The Master of Fine Arts (MFA) Program in Studio Art, which prepares students for professional careers in the visual arts, will graduate five students in June. The thesis exhibition, which is a requirement for graduation, will be on display through June 9.

MFA candidates this year are Sita Bhattacharji, Ben Dean, Danielle Giudici, James Hegge and Philip Ross. Their displays include photographs, sculpture, performance objects and living organisms. SR
