Effective June 30, Stanford's Marguerite shuttle will discontinue its Menlo Park route.
The route was launched in 1997 as a pilot program that was reviewed annually. Ridership has not grown as expected, and funding for next year was not approved. However, the City of Menlo Park is researching funding sources so that perhaps a revised form of the route can be resumed in the future.
The university's Parking and Transportation Services center has information on public transportation available to some destinations served by the Menlo line.
Travelers to businesses on Sand Hill Road can take the Marguerite SLAC Line or Samtrans Route 295. Those going to Stanford Hospital or the central campus can take Samtrans Route 390 or VTA Route 22 and transfer to the Marguerite A Line.
