Volunteers needed to help with Parents' Weekend

The office of University Communications is looking for staff to help out on Feb. 25 and 26, when 2,500 moms, dads and family members will arrive for Parents' Weekend 2000.

"For many families, this is a terrific opportunity to meet faculty and administrators, learn more about the university and spend time with their sons and daughters," says Beverly Momoi, coordinator for the weekend.

Volunteers are needed to answer questions, help in "back-to-school" classes and tours, drive golf carts and direct visitors to events. For more information, visit

Sign up by sending an e-mail to parentsweekend@sherlock.

All volunteers will receive a cardinal Stanford Parents' Weekend T-shirt. SR
