Winter administrative job fair set for March 7

Stanford's fourth Administrative Job Fair will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 7, in the Oak Lounge of Tresidder Union.

There is no attendance fee for applicants.

Aimed primarily at recruitment of support staff, the fair offers schools and administrators an opportunity to meet qualified candidates with minimal cost and investment of time, said Linda Jack, manager of the Office for Staff Employment.

Nearly 400 job seekers attended the previous job fair, which was held in October. So far, 26 applicants have been hired from that pool.

Jack encourages various departments to participate, since many of those in attendance express an interest in a specific department. Through contact made at job fairs, people have been hired months after the event, since departments that already have compiled lists of candidates have been able to move quickly when an opening occurs.

Those wishing to reserve tables can contact Pam Leong at 723-4635 or pamleong@stanford.edu.

Tom Castillo, staff recruitment administrator for Human Resources, will manage the event. He can be reached at 723-0918 or at camillo@stanford.edu.
