Zare honored for graduate-level teaching

Richard N. Zare, the Marguerite Blake Wilbur Professor in Natural Science, received the Nobel Laureate Signature Award for Graduate Education in Chemistry from the American Chemical Society for directing graduate student Alex Kandel's research on fundamental molecular behavior and reactions. Kandel, now a postdoctoral researcher at Pennsylvania State University, studied how chlorine atoms interact with methane and ethane.
