Duus elected president of Association for Asian Studies

Peter Duus, the William H. Bonsall Professor of History, has been elected president of the Association for Asian Studies, the largest area studies organization in the United States. Its 8,000 members include specialists on Japan, Korea, China, Inner Asia, Southeast Asia, India and Pakistan from a wide variety of disciplines.
