Fayer acknowledged by the American Physical Society for 'ultrafast spectroscopic methods'

Michael Fayer, professor of chemistry, has been awarded the American Physical Society's Earl K. Plyler Prize for Molecular Spectroscopy. The award recognizes Fayer's "development of optical and infrared ultrafast spectroscopic methods, and . . . [his use of] these methods to measure dynamical processes in condensed phase systems." The award was presented at the society's recent meeting in Minneapolis.
