New homes for Help Center, English: 9/98

New homes for Help Center and English Department

The Help Center will have a new home starting Oct. 5, says director David Rasch. Located in Galvez House since 1979, the center will move to 100 Encina Commons at 615 Crothers Way on Oct. 1 and 2. "It will be an improvement," Rasch says about the new location. "It has a nice environment and it offers seclusion and anonymity." Telephone numbers for the center, which will not be changed, will be disconnected on Oct. 1, but should start working again on Oct. 2, Rasch says. For assistance while the center is closed during the move, go to www.stanford.edu/dept/helpcenter/.

The English Department has moved to the second floor of Building 460 in Margaret Jacks Hall, says administrator Dagmar Logie. The main department office is in Room 201, Creative Writing is in Room 219 and Writing and Critical Thinking (WCT) is in Room 223. Mail code and telephone numbers have not been changed. SR
