Continuing Studies honors faculty
The Continuing Studies Program (CSP) honored all Stanford faculty who have taught courses during the program's 10-year history at a reception at the Faculty Club on April 28.
"The cornerstone of our program has been the commitment of Stanford faculty to share their knowledge with our dedicated students," Marsh McCall, dean of continuing studies, said about the 400 faculty members who have taught for CSP over the years.
From a modest beginning of six
courses and 200 students in the fall of 1988, CSP has grown to a
point where it offered 65 courses that attracted 1,700 students
this spring quarter. The program is planning an anniversary lecture
and reception in October; former vice provost Bill Chace, president
of Emory University, will give the keynote address.
