An expert in the politics and sociology of the Arab world, Larry Diamond has been interviewed about democracy in the Arab World, the Arab Spring and events in the Middle East. Primarily an Africanist, Diamond currently serves as the co-director for the National Endowment for Democracy’s International Forum for Democratic Studies in Washington DC, as a member of U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) Advisory Committee on Voluntary Foreign Aid, and as adviser and lecturer at the World Bank, the United Nations, and the U.S. Department of State. Previously he was senior adviser to the Coalition Provisional Authority in Iraq and consultant to USAID.
