Anne L. Friedlander has been teaching in the Program in Human Biology since 1997. She is currently exploring combining storytelling with online learning to help engage students at Stanford and around the world in the excitement of human physiology. She served as the director of the Mobility Division within the Stanford Center on Longevity from 2006-2009, during which time she developed innovative strategies to enhance mobility and physical function throughout the lifespan and promoted collaborative efforts between academia and industry. She has broad research experience in the areas of enhancing human performance, environmental physiology, and using physical activity and mobility to promote healthy aging.
