Stanford law professor unpacks political polarization

In a Wide Angle video, Stanford law Professor Nate Persily sees many elements contributing to the polarization that many Americans perceive in the 2016 presidential election. They include growing incivility in public life, differences between the parties that are the greatest in a century, gridlock caused by elected officials’ refusal to compromise and decreasing respect for democratic institutions.
