Stanford students go farming for Alternative Spring Break

A wide-ranging group from vegans to carnivores spent spring break visiting and working on farms around Monterey Bay. The trip, called "Beyond Organic," is part of Stanford's Alternative Spring Break (ASB) Program and helped students explore California's complex farm system. Providing a wide range of topics and locations, ASB exposes students to social and cultural issues through community visits and experiential learning.
