Continuing Studies Program offers winter classes for adults

Winter quarter registration now is under way for more than 50 courses, workshops and seminars offered by the Continuing Studies Program.

Course titles include Archaeology and the Bible, Greek Tragedy, Reading Dialogue, U.S. Films of the 1950s, Couple Dancing in the '90s, Who's Afraid of James Joyce's Ulysses?, T. S. Eliot, The Complete Beethoven String Quartets (in conjunction with Lively Arts performances) and Darwin and the Origin of Species, among others.

Stanford faculty and staff are eligible to receive up to $200 tuition discount on CSP courses. In addition to the employee discount, Stanford students and their spouses/domestic partners, and Stanford employees' spouses/domestic partners receive a 20 percent discount.

The Continuing Studies Program offers five and 10-week classes, one-day workshops and seminars and travel programs to adult members of surrounding Bay Area communities. Tuition is $145/$155 per unit. Classes start Jan. 5.
