Lyons named chair of Alumni Association's board of directors

STANFORD -- Warren R. Lyons, who earned a bachelor's degree in economics in 1967 and an MBA and J.D. in 1972, has been named chairman for 1996 and 1997 of the Stanford Alumni Association's board of directors.

Lyons, of Laguna Niguel, Calif., is president of Avco Financial Services of Irvine, Calif., and formerly was with Teledyne and McKinsey and Co., Inc. At Stanford, he was president of Stanford in Austria and chairman of Stanford Today and Tomorrow. His daughter, Brooke, is a sophomore at Stanford and currently is studying at the Florence campus.

The association also named Rich Jaroslovsky, '75, vice chair of the board of directors. Jaroslovsky, of Short Hills, N.J., is managing editor of the Wall Street Journal Interactive Edition, and formerly was national political editor of the Wall Street Journal and editor-in-chief of the Stanford Daily.

The 1995 board chairwoman Susan Taylor Rosepink, '72, of Phoenix, a news anchor and reporter for KSAZ-TV, became past chair for the 1996 calendar year.
