Pipeline projects at White Plaza, Campus Drive East scheduled this summer

_STANFORD -- Two pipeline projects related to the campus steam system are scheduled to begin in mid-July and continue through mid-September.

Work on phase two of the White Plaza Steam and Condensate Replacement project will extend along Lasuen Mall from the grassy area north of White Plaza opposite the Stanford Bookstore to Dinkelspiel Auditorium, said Lew Lane, project manager with the Utilities Division of Facilities Operations.

The work area will be fenced off. The eastern half of the mall, next to the bookstore and Post Office, will remain open while the other half will be blocked off by the construction work.

The other project is the Campus Drive Condensate Replacement. This work will extend along the Campus Drive East median from Maples Pavilion to the intersection with Galvez Street. While this work is in progress, traffic on Campus Drive East will be reduced to one lane in each direction.

For more information, call Lane at 725- 3188.
