Campus leaseholders schedule annual meeting

STANFORD -- The annual meeting of Stanford Campus Residential Leaseholders Inc. is scheduled to start at 7 p.m. Monday, May 15, in Kresge Auditorium at the Stanford Law School.

All campus faculty and staff who are leaseholders in the campus residential subdivision are encouraged to attend.

Items on the agenda include:

• Reports by the president, treasurer and executive director on the year's activities.
• A report on planning work being done by Tom Richman Associates. SCRL recently hired Richman, a landscape architect, to help develop a three-year plan for enhancements in common areas of the residential subdivision.
• A report from representatives of Peninsula Sanitary Services Inc. on solid waste disposal services. The contractor and SCRL have set up a joint Solid Waste Study Group to examine the issues raised by a state mandate to reduce by half the amount of waste destined for landfills by the year 2000.
• A report from Andy Coe, Stanford's director of community relations, on the status of the proposed Stanford West housing and retirement complex, expansion of the Stanford Shopping Center and the Sand Hill Road extension.
• Election of members to the board of directors for 1995-96.

A question-and-answer period will follow the election.

Refreshments will be served after the meeting, and leaseholders will have a chance to meet members of the board as well as a number of university staff members who have been invited to the meeting.
