"Faculty Reserves Request" now available via Portfolio

STANFORD -- Faculty members (or their designates) can now electronically submit course reserves lists to Cubberley, Engineering and Meyer libraries through a new Macintosh application accessible on Portfolio, Stanford's new campuswide information system.

The application "Faculty Reserves Request" will permanently store submitted lists, which can then be revised and resubmitted for other courses or the same course in future quarters. Lists can also be saved locally on users' Macintoshes.

The Faculty Reserves Request application is located under two Portfolio icons: the "Classroom" and the "Library" (in the folder called Library Services).

For information on how to access Portfolio, refer to the brochure "How to Put Portfolio on Your Macintosh," available in the libraries. Portfolio also is accessible on the Macintosh computers at the Meyer Computer Cluster.

The Faculty Reserves Request application requires a Macintosh computer (more modern than the SE line) connected to SUNet, System 7.0 or greater, with at least 1.4 MB of free disk space, and a minimum of 2MB of RAM (memory).

Individuals submitting lists must have a University ID and PIN (Personal Identification Number). PIN's are issued by the Stanford Data Center Departmental Systems Group at 725-8181.

For more information about the Faculty Reserves Request application, please contact staff at the following libraries:
