Track House lot to reopen Monday, Dec. 13

STANFORD -- The Track House Parking Lot will reopen for use Monday, Dec. 13, 1993.

The formally dirt/mud parking area on the northeast corner of Galvez Street and Campus Drive has been upgraded to a paved surface with landscaping and lighting. A covered bicycle parking area was also added.

The bike racks for the covered parking are on order and should be installed by the end of December. The racks are a hoop design new to campus. Other minor items of work will occur through the end of the month.

The lot will continue to be for "Z-Permit" parking. Z-Permits are provided free to people willing to walk or bike from peripheral parking locations to central campus. Another free Z-Permit lot is located at the corner of Campus Drive and Stock Farm Road.

Commuters who want to exchange their C- or A-permits for a Z-Permit and a refund can do so at the Parking and Transportation Office located on the first floor of 855 Serra. Questions about the exchange should be directed to the Transportation Programs Office at 723-9362.
