Annual research committee meeting May 26"
STANFORD -- The Faculty Senate Committee on Research will hold its annual open meeting from 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, May 26, in Oak West Lounge of Tresidder Union.
The meeting is open to all interested members of the Stanford community.
The purpose of the meeting is to solicit comments from faculty, students and staff on any issues of interest related to the health of research at Stanford.
Dean of Research Robert Byer will deliver a brief report, "The Future of Stanford as a Research University in the Coming Decade." The report is based on a recent research retreat involving 20 faculty members from throughout the university.
Also, the Committee on Research will vote to reaffirm Stanford's current "Secrecy in Research Policy." Copies of the policy will be available at the meeting.
