Marine ecologist Jane Lubchenco to discuss the “new ocean ethic” at Feb. 28 Stanford lecture

Marine ecologist Jane Lubchenco will deliver a lecture titled "Seas the Day: The Need for a New Ocean Ethic" at Stanford University's Frances C. Arrillaga Alumni Center at 5:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 28. A professor of zoology at Oregon State University and president of the International Council for Science, Lubchenco is widely recognized for her research on environmental sustainability and marine biodiversity. In her lecture, she will discuss changes in the marine environment and their possible consequences for life on Earth.
