Nov. 13 memorial set for physicist Marvin Chodorow
A memorial service for physicist Marvin Chodorow will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 13, at the Stanford Faculty Club. Chodorow, professor emeritus of applied physics and electrical engineering, helped pioneer the development of the klystron tube and served as the first chair of the Applied Physics Department. He died peacefully of natural causes at his home on campus Oct. 17.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to Stanford University's Chodorow Fellows Program, c/o Martin W. Shell, Vice President for Development, Frances C. Arrillaga Alumni Center, 326 Galvez St., Stanford, CA 94305-6105.
