Bookstore reverses incorrect charges

Stanford Bookstore has announced it is taking steps to reverse incorrect charges to customers that may have resulted from a computer error during a one-day period in January.

The bookstore's management said that some credit card transactions from Jan. 7 may have been processed twice because of a computer problem. Officials said immediate action was taken to rectify the situation. In addition, customers who incurred overdraft fees as a result of the erroneous charges will be "made whole" on a case by case basis, said Dave Peterson, director of stores.

Customers who have questions should contact the Bookstore at stanford@bkstr.com.
