Experts discuss school reform in California

Education Professor Michael Kirst, director of PACE (Policy Analysis for California Education), will talk about "The Rocky Road to California State School Reform: An Insider's View" at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 6.

Susan Hammer, vice president of the State Board of Education and former mayor of San Jose, also will comment on the successes and challenges of California's state education reforms.

Presented by the School of Education's Cubberley lecture series, the event is free and open to the public. A reception follows at 6:30 p.m. The lecture will take place in Room 112 of the Center for Educational Research at Stanford (CERAS) on Alvarado Row and Abbot Lane.
