Stanford honors longest-serving employees

Thursday's Multicultural Springfest was like a graduation for long-serving Stanford staff members.  The honorees – those celebrating 30, 35, 40, 45 and 50 years of dedicated service to the university - processed to the stage as their names were called. They shook hands with Provost John Etchemendy, who recognized them for their service, and they received a personalized diploma-like certificate that was signed by Etchemendy and President John Hennessy. Meanwhile, scores of Stanford employees came to cheer on the honorees and to celebrate staff diversity with good food, music and camaraderie.
