The gas line replacement project is estimated to be completed mid-December.

The estimated completion of PG&E's gas line replacement project along Junipero Serra Boulevard on Stanford lands has been moved to mid-December.

PG&E has received approval from the County of Santa Clara to work during the following hours:

  • Campus Drive West to Alpine Road: currently only night time work, however the county has approved 22 hours per day, 9 a.m. to 7 a.m., Monday through Saturday; 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. Sunday.
  • Campus Drive East to Page Mill Road: 12 hours per day, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., Monday through Friday; 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday.
  • Staging area at Page Mill Road and Junipero Serra Boulevard: 24 hours per day to access equipment and materials.

"This will add another day to our schedule and help get the work done more quickly," said Eric Jansen, a PG&E accounts manager. Jansen noted that the hours indicated are the approved hours, and that crews may or may not be working during all those shifts.
