Faculty Senate to meet Thursday
The Faculty Senate will convene Thursday for the fourth and final meeting of the 2008-2009 academic year.
The senate will hear a report on a faculty quality-of-life survey presented by law Professor Deborah Rhode. The senate also will hear a report from the Emeriti Council presented by David Abernethy, professor emeritus of political science.
The senate will meet at 3:15 p.m. in Room 180 of the Law School. Discussion is limited to members of the senate, but members of the Stanford community may request to attend the meeting by contacting the Academic Secretary's Office at 723-4992 or Trish Del Pozzo at delpozzo@stanford.edu.
Following the meeting, President John Hennessy will host a reception for members of the 41st (current) senate and the 42nd (next year's) senate, the committee chairs of the Academic Council, the Emeriti Council and the Board of Trustees. The reception is scheduled to begin at 4:30 p.m. at the Faculty Club.
