Protest deserved more coverage
At least you published a photograph of the massive student demonstration against President Bush's unofficial visit to Stanford (issue of April 26, 2006), even though it was relegated to page 9 (where it was overshadowed by a full page on the Patagonian rodent) and showed only six of the thousand or more demonstrators but none of their imaginative and provocative placards.
Didn't this momentous event—the president of the United States being denied his meeting at the Hoover Institution and furtively diverted to the private residence of one of its fellows—merit a full report in a newspaper recording Stanford events?
