Online enrollment starts for benefits workshops, seminars
Starting this week, those interested in attending workshops and seminars offered by the Benefits Department can enroll through the Stanford Training and Registration System (STARS). Signing up online will help employees secure a seat; some sessions over the past year have exceeded capacity and resulted in an inability to fully accommodate those left standing, according to benefits staff.
A SUNet ID is required to use STARS. All courses are free, including monthly sessions on health-care benefits for retirees, maternity and child-care benefits, and the university's tuition grant program and a new series of four seminars on getting out of debt and "smart saving strategies."
Beginning today, all workshops and seminars offered by the Benefits Department will be listed in the Training Opportunities Guide (TOG). For help with enrolling, call 725-8479. Accommodating walk-ins at upcoming sessions will depend on seating availability.
