University's health and safety committee to update public, hear questions and comments

The University Committee on Health and Safety will hold a public meeting July 25 from 5 to 6:30 p.m. in the Gold Lounge of the Faculty Club.

Civil engineering Professor Richard Luthy, committee chair, will describe the panel's charge and briefly review some of the activities of the committee over the past year. Following reports on the status of health, safety and environmental programs at the university and Stanford Linear Accelerator Center, there will be an opportunity for questions and comments from the public regarding health, safety and environmental management concerns at Stanford and SLAC.
