New course offered on menopausal health
Women's Health at Stanford, a multidisciplinary initiative dedicated to promoting wellness and preventing illness in women, is offering a new health education course, "Mind/body program for menopausal health." The first session is on Feb. 21.
The class, which is open to both the public and Stanford employees, is designed to develop knowledge, self-awareness and resiliency during peri-menopause and menopause.
The course will be facilitated by health educator and psychotherapist Suzanne Olson. Other guest speakers participating in the class include Marcia Stefanick, PhD, professor of medicine, and Leah Millheiser, MD, instructor in obstetrics and gynecology.
The fee is $385 for eight sessions, and Stanford employees may use their STAP funds. To register online, visit http://womenshealth.stanford.edu/health_education/menopausal/index.html.
