Workshop to focus on Excel tools for science, engineering

Researchers, graduate students and educators are invited to sign up for an all-day workshop on Tuesday, March 14, that will focus on high-powered tools in Microsoft Excel that can be applied in science and engineering projects. The class, being offered by Technology Training Services, will cover trig functions, permutations and combinations, and statistical and scientific functions.

Excel for Science and Engineering (ITS-1126) will be taught by Shane Devenshire, a Microsoft-certified Excel "MVP." The class is meant for high-end users and will be offered from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Technology Training Services will offer more sections if the class fills up, according to Leni Silberman, manager of information technology services.
