Cornel West transfixed a sold-out crowd of 750 at Dinkelspiel Auditorium by citing personal responsibility, parental participation and caring teachers as necessary elements to make sure people pushed to "the margins" of society get a fair break through true educational equity. West, professor of religion at Princeton, spoke to the 10th anniversary meeting of the Foundation for a College Education on Jan. 28.
