Palo Alto Councilman Vic Ojakian, left, President John Hennessy and Mayor Jim Burch ceremoniously broke ground at the Stanford-Palo Alto Community Playing Fields on Tuesday, Aug. 30. The 6-acre parcel at El Camino Real and Page Mill Road will have two-full size soccer fields, a practice field in between and plenty of public amenities when construction finishes in February or March.
