Stanford University biologist Charles Yanofsky named National Medal of Science winner

After winning the National Medal of Science, Charles Yanofsky, the Morris Herzstein Professor of Biology, Emeritus, celebrates with his grandson, Nicholas. Yanofksy was one of eight recipients of the country's highest scientific honor for 2003. Thirty-one people at Stanford, including scholars at the Hoover Institition, have won the medal.
