Lokey lab opens doors

L.A. Cicero Lokey

Lorry Lokey, chair and chief executive officer of Business Wire, and Sharon Long, the Vernon R. and Lysbeth Warren Anderson Dean of the School of Humanities and Sciences, enter the new Lorry I. Lokey Laboratory for Chemistry and Biological Sciences. Located on Campus Drive West, the 87,000-square-foot building was officially dedicated on Oct. 1. Lokey, who earned his bachelor's degree in communication from Stanford in 1949, is largely responsible for funding the lab's construction. It is the first new research facility built for the School of Humanities and Sciences in more than a decade.
