Awakuni, Seyer-Smith to speak at TIPS meeting this morning

At the June 16 meeting of TIPS (Team for Improving Productivity at Stanford), Gene Awakuni, vice provost for student affairs, will talk about his experiences since arriving at Stanford in 2002. Also, Kristina Seyer-Smith, manager of maps and records, will make a presentation about iSpace, the space management system that will replace Stanford University Facilities and Engineering Database (SUFED) and MedSUFED. The iSpace system provides space inventory and usage information about facilities and is used for functions including indirect cost analysis, facilities planning and tracking of space use by departments.

The meeting will be from 8:30 to 10 a.m. in the Hartley Conference Room at the Mitchell Earth Sciences Building. TIPS meetings are held the third Wednesday of the month and are open to everyone who works at Stanford. Information about TIPS is available at www.stanford.edu/group/TIPS/.
