Apply for 2005 child care subsidy grant by Aug. 13
The application period for the 2005 child care subsidy grant is scheduled for July 19 to Aug. 13, 2004. Because child care grant subsidies are awarded annually, employees who previously have received grants, as well as first-time applicants, must apply to the WorkLife Office for the grants by the Aug. 13 deadline.
Grant applications have been mailed to employees' home addresses and are available in English and Spanish on the WorkLife Office website at http://worklife.stanford.edu and in Building 310. Applications must be postmarked by Aug. 13 and mailed to the WorkLife Office.
The program awards grants that reimburse eligible employees for qualified child care costs in amounts of up to $5,000 per family, based on factors including number and ages of children in a family, employment status of parents and adjusted gross family income. The program limits eligibility to parents whose adjusted gross family income does not exceed $124,999. Spouses and same-sex domestic partners of employees must work, go to school full time or be disabled in order for employees to be eligible for grants.
The university awarded 560 child care subsidy grants for 2004.
