The 36th Senate of the Academic Council will convene Thursday with linguistics Professor Tom Wasow presiding over the first meeting of the Autumn Quarter.

The Faculty Senate is expected to vote on a set of proposed guidelines governing Student Initiated Courses. The agenda also will include a report from the Committee on Undergraduate Standards and Policy.

The senate will meet at 3:15 p.m. in Room 180 at the Law School.

The discussion is limited to members of the senate only, but the meeting is open to members of the Stanford community.
