Stanford remembers Pearl and his mission
Communication Professor Emerita
Marion Lewenstein spoke to reporters Thursday about slain Wall Street
Journal reporter Daniel Pearl, a 1985 Stanford graduate who majored in
communication. Stanford Knight Fellow Ian Stewart spoke about the dangers
foreign correspondents confront around the world. As the Associated Press'
West Africa bureau chief, Stewart survived an AK-47 machine gun shot in
the head in Sierra Leone in 1999. |
