Nobel prizes to be announced next week

Winners of the 2001 Nobel prizes will be announced on the following dates next week: Oct. 8, physiology or medicine; Oct. 9, physics; Oct. 10, chemistry and economics; Oct. 12, peace. In keeping with tradition, the Swedish Academy will set the date for its announcement of the literature prize later.
