Glaser elected to
Royal College of Physicians
Dr. Robert J. Glaser,
consulting professor of medicine, emeritus, and former
dean of the School of Medicine, has been elected a fellow
of the Royal College of Physicians, in London.
Founded in 1518 to create
a body of regular physicians empowered to decide
who should practice medicine in greater London, the
college today provides credentials for internists in the
United Kingdom and the Commonwealth countries. In
addition, it honors up to eight non-members annually by
electing them fellows.
Glaser, who served as
Stanfords vice president for medical affairs and
dean of medicine from 1965 to 1970, was also honored
recently by the University of Colorado Health Sciences
Center with the Florence Rena Sabin Award. Glaser was
dean of the Colorado University School of Medicine from
1957 to 1963 and was vice president for medical affairs
there from 1959 to 1963.
