National Law Journal names Rhode, Sullivan among top 50 women lawyers

The National Law Journal has named Deborah Rhode, the Ernest W. McFarland Professor of Law, and Kathleen Sullivan, the Stanley Morrison Professor of Law, as two of the 50 top women lawyers in the United States.

Rhode, an expert in legal ethics who also has written on gender discrimination, is director of the Keck Center on Legal Ethics and the Legal Profession at Stanford and president of the American Association of Law Schools.

Sullivan, widely considered one of the top constitutional law scholars in the nation, has argued numerous cases before the U.S. Supreme Court. She co-edited, with Gerald Gunther, the 13th edition of his case book, Constitutional Law, and last year co-authored New Federalist Papers: Essays in Defense of the Constitution. SR
