Midlife wellness seminar scheduled
for women

"MAINTAINING MIDLIFE WELLNESS in Women," a seminar sponsored by the Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics, will be held from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 9, at Fairchild Auditorium. The public is invited to attend.

Topics to be covered include cancer screening, new treatment options for perimenopausal symptoms, sexuality in one's later years, general good health and diet, obesity and eating disorders in women, urinary incontinence, and the health benefits of yoga. A librarian from the Stanford Health Library will also describe how to access and use a variety of support networks and services.

The all-day seminar costs $25 per person and includes breakfast and lunch. Seating is limited, so pre-registration is required. The deadline for registration is Thursday, July 24. For registration instructions or more information, contact Alea Curtis at 498-7570.
