Stanford Report launches more mobile-friendly design

Stanford Report, the university’s daily news email, launched a new mobile-friendly design with its Sept. 1 issue.

The new design features a new masthead that complements the university’s graphic identity and a more flexible design template that will better accommodate and feature Stanford news.

As part of the transition, Stanford Report is dropping its classified ad section in recognition of decreasing submissions. The few submissions that have been received are generally for housing opportunities. We recommend those submissions instead be directed to Residential & Dining Enterprises’ Community Housing office.

Retained and enhanced, however, have been such ongoing features as campus announcements and events, as well as the Dish, which features news about Stanford people, and “In the News,” which offers links to Stanford coverage in external news outlets.

The new design also features larger, easier to read advertisements. Advertisers are reminded that submissions must now measure 250×250 pixels.

Stanford Report, which is produced by University Communications, aggregates news from throughout campus and shares it with more than 31,000 readers on a daily basis. Although intended primarily for faculty and staff readers, Stanford Report circulates worldwide.

We welcome your questions and comments about the new design or about anything related to Stanford news. Email editor Kate Chesley.
